This expanded FIRST Steps Rifle Orientation will focus exclusively on the AR-15 platform - the Modern Sporting Rifle. It is designed to allow you to acquire detailed, specific knowledge about your rifle. Lessons will include Safety, Parts and Operation, Ammunition, Fundamentals of Rifle Shooting, Optics and Accessories, and Live Fire exercises on an outdoor range. FIRST Steps requires you bring your own firearm. No loaner or rental firearms are available for this course. FIRST Steps Rifle requires a full stock shoulder mounted long gun. Pistol configurations are not appropriate for this course.
