NRA Basic Range Safety Officer Course

This course develops NRA Certified Range Safety Officers who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. The course content includes RSO's roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and range rules, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, emergency procedures, and Range Safety Briefings taught by NRA Certified Chief Range Safety Officers. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course, and complete a written examination. Upon successful completion of the Basic RSO Course and registration on the NRA site, you will receive an NRA Certified RSO credential from the NRA. The course tuition is $100.
