NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course

This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense. The course includes classroom presentations, a written examination, practical firearms handling exercises, and live fire exercises. The Personal Protection in the Home Course is the second in a progression of NRA pistol shooting courses and completion of the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is a prerequisite. You are required to submit a copy of your NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate to the course instructor to take this course. The registration process is not complete until your tuition payment has been received. Instructions for payment options and submitting your pre-requisite certificate copy will be emailed after registration on the NRA website is completed.
