NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home Course

This course teaches students the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed handgun for self-defense outside the home. The course includes classroom presentations, a written examination, practical firearms handling exercises, and live fire exercises. The Personal Protection Outside the Home Course is the third in a progression of NRA pistol shooting courses and completion of the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting and NRA Basics of Personal Protection Inside the Home courses are a prerequisite. You are required to submit a copy of your prerequisite course certificates to attend. The registration process is not complete until your tuition payment has been received. Instructions for payment options will be emailed after registration on the NRA website is completed. More detailed information and instructions about the course will be sent via email.
