This course is for experienced shooters who want to prepare to teach NRA basic pistol shooting courses. It runs for two days and includes a six-hour Basic Instructor Training (B.I.T.) module. Pistol Instructor candidates must first complete an NRA basic pistol shooting course (not to be confused with B.I.T.) before starting instructor training. Prior training or experience cannot substitute for this requirement. The course leader is an NRA Training Counselor who has been training instructors and basic students for more than thirty-five years.
