NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Course

Welcome to the NRA Basic Pistol Instructor class! This class will teach the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for conducting NRA Basic Pistol classes. Before coming to class, ensure you: possess and demonstrate a solid background in firearm safety and shooting skills, are intimately familiar with each pistol action type, and demonstrate solid and safe firearms handling skills. A prerequisite for this course is you MUST have passed an NRA Basic Pistol course and can show your certificate or report. Attendance in this course is not a guarantee of certification; you must successfully pass all coursework, pass a shooting qualification, and pass a written exam to become a certified instructor. Please practice the shooting qualification BEFORE you come to class! Please bring a pistol, 100 rounds of ammunition, a holster (NOT a Serpa), eye and ear protection, a baseball hat, and any snacks/drinks/lunch. I STRONGLY urge you to be NRA members; your NRA ID number is important.
