NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home Course

DEFEND YOURSELF FROM A THREAT 180 DEGREES Prerequisite: Students must have successfully passed Personal Protection in the Home and Prove it or pass the pre-course assessment to demonstrate the required knowledge skills and attitude. This is a two-day course. Day one: Entirely in the classroom. Students learn the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude that must be mastered to carry, store, and use a concealed firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home. Day two: Starts in the classroom and evolves to several hours on the range acquiring the necessary skills. Minimum 250 rounds of practice ammunition are recommended. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection Outside the Home Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules Brochure and upon successful completion will receive the course certificate.
