This course teaches students the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a shotgun safely. Students learn safe gun handling, shotgun parts and operation, ammunition and shooting fundamentals, range rules, cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students are encouraged to bring their own trap, skeet, or sporting clay shotgun and shot shells (7-1/2 or 8 shot) or use instructor provided shotguns and shot shells. Students receive the NRA Guide to Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules card, NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate. $50 discount for B-CC IWLA members (provide your B-CC IWLA member number in the "Notes/Special Request" registration section). Live-fire portion is conducted onsite at B-CC's outdoor shooting range. Email follows with additional details and payment info. More NRA training courses coming soon!
