NRA Basic Range Safety Officer Course

This NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) Certification Course is a non-shooting, instructor-led class conducted by Mining Ridge Armory (MRA). It prepares students to safely supervise shooting activities and manage range operations. Topics include RSO roles, range SOPs, inspections, rules, safety briefings, firearm stoppages, and emergency procedures. Students must be at least 21 years old and are strongly encouraged to have a valid NRA ID prior to class to avoid delays in certification. The course fee is $125 and runs from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a lunch break. A minimum of four students must register at least 30 days in advance for the course to be held.
