Pre-requisite: Must be a current Certified Pistol Instructor (or Advanced Certified Pistol Instructor) as a pre-requisite for certification as an NRA Personal Protection In the Home instructor. This certification is not available to Apprentice or Assistant Pistol Instructors, and the Law Enforcement Division Handgun Instructor is not a substitute.
You will learn how to plan and conduct the NRA Basics of Personal Protection In the Home (PPItH) course. You will need a personal handgun suitable for home defense (revolvers .38SPCL minimum, semi-autos 9mm or .380 minimum). Prerequisite: You must have completed the NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course (register for our 16 March class https://courses.shootdabull.com/ITHMAR25), be current with your BIT training; and be a current NRA Certified Pistol Instructor.
