NRA Basic CCW

This class will give you basic information needed to obtain/utilize a Concealed Handgun License (CHL). The class is intended for people who are either about to get, or have recently gotten, their CPL. This will be a 2 day class & will be held at Interlake Sporting Association, 13633 NE 97th St, Redmond, WA 98033; plan on 0800 - 1800 both days. We'll cover safety, selecting a pistol, ammunition, defensive skills, drawing from concealment, loading & stoppage remediation, mindset, holsters & concealment, cleaning, & training opportunities. You'll need a handgun (pistol or revolver, 9mm/38 Special or larger), a strong side holster that covers the trigger guard (outside the waistband work best on the range - you'll be doing a lot of drawing & re-holstering), pouches for at least 2 magazines or speed-loaders, a cover garment (almost all shooting is done from concealment), eye & hearing protection, at least 350 rds of ammo, & clothing for an outdoor range. Two textbooks will be provided.
