NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course

This Instructor led beginning course with no prerequisite is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for safe rifle shooting. Students learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals and positions, range rules, cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students are encouraged to bring their own rimfire or pistol caliber rifle and centerfire ammunition or use available .22LR rimfire rifles with .22LR ammunition provided. Students receive the NRA Guide to Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules card, NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate. An additional range fee is paid onsite at the NRA Range in Fairfax, VA. Non-refundable deposit due within 5 days of registration. Email follows with additional details and payment info.
