Our instructor team, Jennifer & Kevin, teach the basic principles of personal protection in the home. In this class, we’ll cover the following topics: 1: Intro to Defensive Shooting 2: Basic Defensive Pistol Skills (Outdoor Range, dress appropriately) 3: Firearms & the Law 4: Strategies for Home Safety & Responding to a Violent Confrontation 5: Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense 6: Sport Shooting Activities & Training Opportunities 7: Course Review & Examination Pre-requisite: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, or NRA First Steps Course Certificate, or NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, or Military DD 214 with pistol qualification You should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds (a defensive firearm with .38 Special/9mm or greater caliber is recommended).
