This course teaches students the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home. Each day runs 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. Day one covers the essential knowledge and skills that must be mastered in order to carry, store, and use a firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home. Day two is learning advanced shooting skills and presentation techniques from cover. A .38SPCL/9mm/.308 handgun or larger should be used. You must have a strong-side inside-the-waist band (IWB) or outside-the-waist band (OWB) holster with good retention and a concealment garment as you will be drawing from concealment for most shooting exercises and qualification.
