This course is geared towards children but is open to all, and is a prerequisite to shoot rifles with Silver State Shooting Sport Association. Parents/guardians must be present during the class. This class is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling, possession and cleaning of rifles. The course will last approximately four hours and includes classroom and range time. The students will learn the NRA's rules for safe gun handling, shooting fundamentals, ammunition considerations, cleaning the rifle and additional opportunities for skill development. You may bring drinks and snacks, and should bring water as the range is outdoors. There is a $35 fee for the class, which is paid on-site or through Silver State’s website (SSSSANV.org). Silver State provides the rifles, ammunition, hearing protection and eye protection.
