This course is the NRA HFS Instructor Course. It is a 5-6 hour course that teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential in organizing, promoting and teaching the NRA’s Home Firearm Safety Course. To register for this course, you must already hold an NRA Instructor Certification in another discipline, and have completed Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the last 2 years. Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills is a perquisite for certification as an NRA instructor. Prior to the course, candidates must complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises.
