As a prerequisite, students must have successfully completed the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course (proof of completion required). This course is designed to provide students the basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students should bring 100 rounds (minimum) of ammunition to shoot using their own firearms. This course provides a full day of hands-on firearms training by volunteer NRA Certified Instructors. Students receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules card, NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate. Snacks, lunch, and beverages are provided. Nonrefundable $50 deposit. Email will follow with additional details and payment info.
