Defensive Pistol 1 - This is the absolute BEST and safest way to start your Defensive handgun training, especially if you just got your carry permit! Learn the basics of firearms safety, legal information specifically for TN residents, Defensive pistol handling, and do live-fire defensive pistol shooting drills! The prerequisite to this course is either 1) State of TN 8 hour Enhanced Carry Permit class with live-fire, or the NRA Basics of Pistol 8 hour course with live-fire or equivalent. You must know the basics of shooting before taking this class. This class is also the prerequisite for Defensive Pistol 1 (PPITH) Instructor Certification.
