COURSE PREREQUISITE: Candidate must have successfully completed the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting - Instructor Led Training (ILT) course released April 4, 2017, or the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting course format prior to May 2016. The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting - Blended course format does not fulfill the course prerequisite (NOTE: A copy of your course certificate will provide that proof.). Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills is a prerequisite. Prior to attending the pistol instructor course, candidates must complete a pre-course questionnaire and schedule a time to demonstrate their pistol handling background in pre-course pistol handling exercises and a qualification.
