This is a Women Only Course as part of the Women's Instructor Development Program of the NRA – For Women – By Women. It includes NRA Basic Instructor Training and NRA Basic Rifle Instructor and Home Firearm Safety Training. Candidates must satisfactorily complete the 6 hour NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT), during which you will learn how to teach the NRA way. BIT is followed by the Rifle discipline training and will be 10 additional hours and 5 hours for HFS. Shooting and Safe Handling Pre-Qualification is required at the Ben Avery Shooting Center 4044 W. Black Canyon Blvd. Phoenix on Thursday Jan 18 at 9:00 am prior to the start of class. All additional forms will be provided via email upon registration. A block of rooms at the Phoenix/Anthem Hampton Inn are available. If you're coming to SHOT, fly in early and get your Rifle and HFS certifications.
